Karachi stock exchange -100 index rose by 1147 points after Pakistan Stock market recovery

Pakistan stock market saw a positive week as Karachi stock exchange -100 index rose by 1147 points during the week.The stock market showed a steady growth during the whole week. Market started with a positive trend and continued this trend whole week.Stock market started the week at 31293 points and ended the week at 32441 points.

 

Pakistan stock market was mainly affected by the recovery in the international oil prices,good news coming from cement sector and low discount rates in the market.Domestic and foreign investors both showed a keen interest in the market. Cement sector was the most favorite sector for the foreign investors.Foreign investors were net sellers as they sold net equity of $ 1.6 million during the week.

The weekly share trading volume showed a 2.31 % decrease as compared to the last week.The weekly share trading volume was 675 million shares as compared to the last week’s trading volume of 691 million shares.

Energy ,construction and Cement sectors were the top performing sectors during the week.Energy sectors showed a improvement after recovery in the international oil prices.construction and Cement sector showed a robust growth after announcement of new construction projects.Following are major gainers and losers of the week.
